YWAM DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING SCHOOL

The property of YWAM Lusaka is home to the YWAM-DTS which will run from March to August in 2011. This course is divided into lecture phase and outreach phase. The emphasis for the YWAM-DTS is developing a godly character rather than acquiring knowledge. The motto throughout the school is TO KNOW GOD AND TO MAKE HIM KNOWN. There will be opportunities to get involved in the local community during the lecture phase, and learn from ministries reaching out to the poor both spiritually and practically during the outreach.

Lecture Phase (12 weeks)

Topics during the lecture phase include:

  • Knowing God / The character of God
  • Hearing God's voice
  • The fear of God
  • Spiritual Warfare
  • Community Development

Outreach

Outreach is designed to put the principles learned into practice, while working with local churches or organisations and living amongst the people ministered to. This fosters relationship skills needed for

a life time in God's service. Outreach will take place either within Zambia or a neighbouring country.
