Since 1999 we have a YWAM center in Bamako, the capital city of Mali. We support the local churches in their desire to reach out to the whole population with the Gospel. This collaboration started in 1975 with short term teams from Switzerland, but now they come also from Mali (YWAM-DTS and SOE outreaches), France, Norway, Senegal, Togo and Canada. |
The doors for evangelism are wide open and the Malians love to speak about God. After our first summer outreach in 1986, the ministry with the churches grew and the doors opened for more teaching. |

We are now working with various ministries of all the local denominations, wanting to bring unity among the churches. We pray and worship together. From time to time we host seminars for pastors, women, business men, young people and students. We also coach trainers for sunday schools. |
Like anywhere else, the young people around us are enthusiastic about modern media. They want help with their daily challenges. We therefore opened a video center where we watch TV broadcasts, movies and films of testimonies world -wide and then discuss what we saw. This makes for good interaction with the Bamako Youth. |
