Operation Jonah is a fast paced action novel that will keep you riveted until the end. The short chapter format of the book allows the story to unfold as a comfortable read. The story is even more poignant considering that it is based on a true story - a story that reveals the power of African Ubuntu where a community works together to achieve a worthy cause. It is a book that you will enjoy reading but prepare yourself for the tension and drama. I look forward to reading Elisabeth's next book.

Once I picked up "Operation Jonah", I couldn't put it down. I was so impressed by the high standard in which Elisabeth Miller tells this heart wrenching story. A remarkable true story, told in a way that brings honour to the family and all who lived these horrendous three days. It is a testimony to the power of God's goodness in a nightmare situation, where evil and bitterness became tools for the devil to "kill steal and destroy'. All the reviews and quotes on the book cover are inspiring and do the book justice.I particularly loved Mvula J Mvula's review as it gave me the courage to face the book "Justice reigned and virtue triumphed over evil as a direct result of people uniting for a moral cause" I highly commend this book to you.

I am encouraged to read comments people are making about the book. There is more in that book than what they read. For those who lived the experiences; it is a demonstration of the power of God at work.

Operation Jonah is an uplifting story of the deep seated Christian faith of the parents and the generous support of friends in the search for their kidnapped child. A fast paced novel which kept me riveted to the last page.

I love historical novels, and this is a good one! Operation Jonah is a fast-paced, action-adventure that takes you to the continent of Africa where you will be caught up in a romance, faith and crime-drama that engulfs the lives of two unsuspecting parents when their child is kidnapped by a crime syndicate. You won’t be able to put it down!

The tale spun by Elisabeth is both shocking and heart-warming. To kidnap or keep a child from his or her birth mother or adoptive parents is to deny that child’s fundamental human rights—to security, to a family, and even to survival. But the response of the community to the crisis was quite extraordinary. No one can fail to be touched by the way in which such varied groups came together, so quickly cutting across age-old divisions of race and religion in an effective outpouring of common humanity. This is a story in which near tragedy is turned into a triumph of the human spirit.

A devout family caught in the crossfire between forces of good and evil; persevering faith; community involvement; supernatural intervention by God; ultimate triumph of good over evil. These elements are vividly described in a sympathetic and intense manner. The author succeeds in conveying a very positive message, without ever seeming to sermonize or moralize.

Operation Jonah should not be dismissed as fiction. It is a true story that shows the power of unity. When an evil invader abducts a baby from an innocent family, a social bond that knows no skin colour, religion or social status defied all odds to find and return the baby to the parents. Justice reigned and virtue triumphed over evil as a direct result of people uniting for a moral cause. Elisabeth Miller has drawn from her rich experience of living in Africa to paint a picture of how life is experienced in an African context. This novel is a must-read for anybody with a passion for justice and honesty.

Operation Jonah is a fast-tracking account of events that went horribly wrong in Africa. This surreal drama contains the elements of a tragedy and inspires the reader to move beyond empathy to courageous personal involvement on behalf of somebody in need. The book will keep the reader intrigued and spell-bound.
